moved to nashville.
the best part of my day, hands down, is my drive to work - seeing the sunrise and the sunset. it has this mysterious power to make everything else in life seem so insignificant. or at least remind me that i am part of a great work of art that is daily being created by a loving and wonderful God.
the best place to see the sunrise? the onramp of 440e from 40w.
all of downtown/east nashville sits veiled under the most brilliant work of love.
light in the world.
got a job.
it has been no easy transition. i deeply love the family i worked with in atlanta.
now i chase after two (2, dos, deux, ii) THREE YEAR OLD boys. ryan & evan.
they are precious. i am finding the will to continue this journey until it is finished (in July).
i will laugh and play and teach them what it means to live.
they just wont know it for a few years.
got some good eats.
i love food. i love to cook & i have considered the option of being a food critic when being an artist proves impossible or at least un-live-able. Atlanta has quite a range of world class cuisine... and some really great southern cookin. i was skeptical about Nashville's ability to measure up (it doesnt) or even come close (it does) to the ATL. But, so far... I have had some really enjoyable experiences at restaurants all over this city... i have even discovered a taco "stand" (in a dodgey part of town... in a dodgier parking lot... in a dodgier-still trailer). THEY ARE AUTHENTIC & anyone who's willing to make the trek, I will be your guide!
to be continued........
